Job summary
This is an entry-level personal lines sales and service position with an opportunity towards a long term career in the insurance industry. Competitive entry-level salary including benefits with opportunity for commissions and advancement.
Summary of essential job functions
Daily responsibilities will include:
· Service Existing Business:
o Review current insurance programs with clients at time of renewal
o Contact clients at time of loss/claim
o Contact clients should their premiums change
o Take service calls and walk-ins
o Review mail and service accordingly
o React to on-demand email from clients and company
o Service brokered business (both commercial and personal lines)
o Perform various administrative tasks as needed
· Produce New Business
o Prospect for new business
o Hold fact-finding interviews
o Process applications and quotes
o Present quotes to client
o Follow up with clients for underwriting requirements
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree or 2 years related experience. Must have experience with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Excel. Must be able to procure Property &Casualty (P&C) license within 6 weeks of hire, or already hold P&C license.
Abilities required
We are looking for a warm, friendly and engaging person who is comfortable greeting clients in the office and on the phone. Candidate must be comfortable making client phone calls and writing personal emails. Sales will be required. Candidate must be organized, energetic and self-motivated and willing to meaningfully contribute to a small and busy team. Customer Service experience is preferred.
